What is UKCP? The UK Council for Psychotherapy maintains a professional register of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Registration involves standards for training, ethics and continuing professional development. About the UKCP register

A place to think things through

If you are facing something difficult, it can be useful to have support from someone outside the situation. Therapy can offer a place to understand what is happening, to see things differently, and to begin to find a way through — at a pace that works for you.

Extensive experience with young people — and with adults of all ages

Much of my career has focused on teenagers and young people, including specialist experience with anxiety, low mood, self-harm and the pressures of school. Alongside that, I have worked for over 25 years with adults across the whole of life. Whether you are looking for therapy for yourself, or support for your child or teenager, you are in experienced hands.

For adults

Support for yourself with anxiety, depression, work and relationship difficulties, historic experiences, or feelings that are hard to understand.

Who I work with

Whoever the therapy is for — you, your teenager or your child — there is a calm place to start.

How I work

I work integratively, which means I draw on a number of therapeutic approaches rather than using one fixed model. I think a lot about attachment and early relationships, and I also use practical tools where they are helpful.

I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, so the work may look different for different people. What you are bringing is important, and I would want to work in a way that feels useful to you.

You can come to me for in-person sessions in a private, comfortable room in Crowthorne, or we can meet online by Zoom — whichever works better for you. Sessions are held at the practice room rather than through home visits, and it is easy to reach from Wokingham, Bracknell, Sandhurst and Camberley.

The first session, and no pressure to continue

A first session is usually 50 minutes. We would talk about what is bringing you to therapy and begin to think together about what might be useful. There is no commitment to continue after that.
